From The East

Brethren:

I was saddened when notified of the passing of WB Joe Warburton. My condolenses go to his family, friends and the Fraternity. He will be missed.

Our last meeting was poorly attended, we just had enough Brothers present to open Lodge. Please put the meeting schedule on your calendars and Subscribe to the Lodge E-Mail list so we can send you a meeting reminder. If you are having problems subscribing, contact the webmaster via e-mail for assistance.

Chaman Grotto M.O.V.P.E.R. is having a "Great Western Shindig" pig roast and country western dance on Saturday July 16. Music is provided by the band, Clear Blue 22. The dinner menu will be roast pig, deep fried turkey and BBQ beef. Tickets are $18 for addults and $8 for kids age 5-12. Please see their web site chamangrotto.org for more information

From the West

Brethren:

The days are getting warmer & longer.

I am reminded of something which happened in my life recently & thought I would share it with you. I have a friend who's daughter 18 years old, recently passed away from an aneurysm. She was just beginning life, perhaps thinking of a continued education, a job, a family. She basically had no worries. It is sad how, no mater what the age, life has a way of smacking us between the eyes to get our attention. Nothing is forever. We must live as though each breath is our last & give the best we can to our friends & neighbors. As was once quoted, "God give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can & the wisdom to know the difference". Many things are changed simply by the example we set for others. I'm sure we can name people who changed our lives by the example they led. Let's hope the example you set is changing others lives for the better.

Fraternally Yours By the Leval,

Rick Davis PM
Senior Warden

From the Secretary's Desk

Brethren:

As you know by now, the Lodge will be going dark befor long and hopefully I'll be off this cane when we return. Hope all you Brothers have a great summer vacation with your relatives and friends. Make all your travels in the car and RV close to home unless the gas price drops below two dollars a gallon.

If you have not paid your dues yet, please try before we open in September.

By the Quill and Heart,

Charlie N. Mowery PM
Secretary
