TRESTLEBOARDApril 2005 |
Brethren:
Our next stated meeting is 11 April and will be the Official Visitation of Most Worshipful Michael F. Lintner, Grand Master of Masons in Nevada. I request everyone attend. Your Ladies are invited for dinner, which commences at 1830 (6:30 pm) and will consist of deep fried turkey. The meeting will start at 1930 (7:30 pm) as usual. The Officers are requested to wear a tuxedo.
This question has been bothering me for the last few years, “What do we need to do to increase attendance of our meetings?” I’m open for suggestions and ideas. If we don’t do something to increase our membership and meeting attendance soon…
Please visit our web page at www.goldenlodge50.org and give me your ideas on what we can do to make the page better. I’m also requesting you Subscribe to our Lodge e-mail list which will be used to supplement this written Trestle Board with last minuet information. If you are having problems subscribing, contact me via e-mail.
Fraternally and on the Square,
JD Weiss
Worshipful Master
Brethren:
Since I am preparing part of the meal for the upcoming event, I would appreciate a head count so I know how much to make. Please e-mail or call if you plan to attend & if you will be bringing guests.
I would also like to extend a warm thank you to the members of the Chaman Grotto for their wonderful dinner & company this past month. I had a great time and, even though, I am not currently a member, I recommend this organization to all.
Fraternally Yours By the Leval,
Rick Davis PM
Senior Warden
Brethren:
From a Fellow Mason; A Mason and a Man: On your coat you wear a pin and on your hand a ring, but if you're not sincere at heart it doesn't mean a thing. It only shows that you belong to this Maasonic fraternity, which teaches right from wrong. What really counts lies buried deep beneath the human breast and Masonry brings it out and puts it to the test.
If you can do outside the Lodge the things you learn within. Console a brother when in need and help him without any thought of reward for any act or deed. Conduct yourself in such a way that the world without can see, that none but the best can meet the test laid down by Masonry. Live up to your trust and do the best you can. Then you can call yourself a Mason and a man.
By the Quill and Heart,
Charlie N. Mowery PM
